The England men’s cricket team won the T20 World Cup in Australia after beating Pakistan by five wickets.
England put Pakistan into bat after winning the toss. The England team then restricted their competition to 137 for 8. Pakistan is not usually limited to such a low score. However, the beneath par result was due to England’s clinical bowling and fielding.
How England won the T20
Adil Rashid and Tom Curran starred with the ball by getting key wickets. However, England lost early wickets with the in-form Alex Hales out in the first over. The England Captain, Jos Buttler, kept the score ticking over, but it ultimately came down to Ben Stokes calm batting scoring of 52 not out and Stokes hitting the winning runs. England men’s cricket team has made history by being the first team to hold the one day 50 and 20 over trophies simultaneously.
