The Super League Is Back With A Bang!

rugby Super League

super league XXVI has truly kicked off

Five games in and we have already been spoilt with some great games in Super League 26 including the recent thrilling clash between Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos. This game gave the ADM team time to reflect on some work undertaken with Wigan Warriors in support of Rob Burrows.

Rob is a Leeds Rhinos legend with eight Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges and two Challenge Cup winners medals. Rob was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, MND, back in December 2019.

Since his diagnosis, Rob has channelled his energies into building awareness and raising funds to support people living with Motor Neurone Disease.

the rugby league community teaming together

The rugby league community including former players, friends and fans plus the broader sporting community, has been incredible. They have shown an incredible amount of affection and support for Rob’s fund.

The ADM team are proud to have worked alongside the Wigan Warriors in helping to raise money for the Rob Burrows Fund.

Wigan Warriors executive director Kris Radlinski, asked all the players from the first-team squad to choose a word to describe Rob. Click here to view the players’ video. The chosen words of the 17-man Wigan squad that played in the Leeds game, on 16th August 2020, were featured on their Wigan Home shirt, alongside their names.

Kris invited ADM to embroider the chosen words on to the match shirts. The embroidered shirts were then worn by the players during the game.

And, after the match, the players’ shirts were auctioned exclusively on the Wigan Warriors community foundation eBay page. All players’ worn shirts were sold raising an amazing £16,500 for the Rob Burrow Fund. Click here to read the full story and more.
